Make room for a pause.
Visitors do not experience a destination at a constant pace. A seat, a meeting point or a quieter edge can support the moments between activities. These spaces deserve a place in the brief from the beginning.
Use atmosphere with purpose.
Light, material and views can help distinguish energetic areas from calmer ones. The aim is a coherent place with different rhythms, rather than a collection of unrelated themed zones.
Connect the small decisions.
The position of a seat, the route past it and the activity it faces affect one another. Looking at those relationships can lead to a clearer interior concept and more useful questions for the next design stage.
